What Makes Us Proper

You didn't wake up one morning and decide it would be cool to wear glasses. You wear them simply because you need to see better. And we've never understood why people have to spend so much to get what they need.

It doesn't have to be that way. At Proper Optics, we believe that uncompromising clarity shouldn't have to compromise your budget. So we craft our glasses using the latest technology paired with fashionable frame styles to bring you eyewear that's awesomely made and awesomely priced. We just think that's the proper way to do business.

Who We Work With

Proper Optics eyewear is sold exclusively through independent eye care practices. Why? Because we like the personalized, professional care they provide. They take the time to learn about you, and that helps them recommend the best lenses and frames for your life. They have the expertise to measure and fit your eyewear accurately, and that can make a huge difference in how well you see.  The best care and the best eyewear – it just makes sense.

How We Make Our Frames

Frames have to do more than look great. Since you wear them just about every waking hour, they need to be able to stand up to your life. That’s why we use premium materials, and make our hinges extra-strong. And, we warranty our frames against defects. Of course, they also look great, but you can see that for yourself.

How We Make Our Lenses

There are a lot of factors that affect how well lenses let you see. Your prescription, of course, but also the frames you choose, and how the lenses are positioned in front of your face. Traditionally, lenses are designed for an average prescription, an average frame, and an average wearing position.  But assuming you’re not average (and who is, really?) you can get our epik™ lenses designed based on your exact prescription, the shape of the frames you select, and even the way they fit you.  The result is vision that leaves average in the dust.
